CERN's interactive centre, "Science Gateway", a further step in bringing science closer to society
With the aim of bringing science closer to society, CERN has inaugurated the Science Gateway, a set of tubular facilities, inspired by the great accelerator, comprising five exhibition areas, laboratories, and an auditorium, adapted for all ages from 5 years upwards, and which will be able to cater for the 500,000 visitors a year.
NASA announces development of a nuclear-powered rocket that could halve the time needed to reach Mars
Demonstration Rocket for Agile Cislunar Operations (DRACO) will be able to reduce the time to reach the Red Planet, thus also reducing the complexity of the mission and the risk to the crew. It will also be twice as efficient as conventional chemical rockets, which means it requires much less propellant.
Foro Nuclear participates in the "Technical Meeting on Educational Networks", held at the headquarters of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna
On 20 July, FORO NUCLEAR presented the different educational resources available at Rincón Educativo and its collaboration with different educational programmes, such as with the LANENT Network in the Nucleando Project, the IAEA with its "Train of Trainers" programme or its participation in the NEA (OECD) "Nuclear Education, Skills and Technology" working group.
