The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has organised a new edition of the Lise Meitner Programme, which will take place from 14 to 17 October 2026 in France and Vienna.

The Rosatom Technical Academy and the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR) have organised a visit for participants in the Lise Meitner Programme from 2 to 15 August 2026 to learn about the life cycle of nuclear power plants, the nuclear fuel cycle, and research and development activities, with a focus on safety, security and safeguards.

Nebrija University, in collaboration with Westinghouse Electric Spain, has developed this master's degree programme, which will be offered for the first time in October 2025 to meet the demand for professionals in the nuclear sector.

On 4 and 5 June, leaders of the nuclear industry, representatives of major European industries, senior officials from the European Commission, Parliament, and Member States will meet in Brussels to answer the question ‘How to strengthen Europe's competitiveness’.

The Lise Meitner Programme, which aims to promote the professional development of women in the nuclear sector, includes professional visits to various nuclear facilities (facilities under construction, operation or decommissioning), research centers, scientific institutions, laboratories, the industrial sector and start-up companies.
