Fabrica papel reciclado

Material:

  • Two and a half pages of newspaper.
  • A whole section of a newspaper.
  • A blender.
  • Five cups of water.
  • A large, square cooking pot, at least six centimeters deep.
  • A piece of wire mesh or plastic mosquito netting that fits inside the container.
  • A measuring jug for liquids.
  • A wooden board about the size of a newspaper.

Process:

  1. Cut or tear into tiny pieces two and a half pages of newspaper.
  2. Put the pieces of paper in a blender.
  3. Add five cups of water. It is essential to add exactly the right amount of water. If there is too little, it can burn the mixer, and if there is too much, the paper will not come out well.
  4. Start the mixer and run it for a few seconds or until the paper has turned into a paste.
  5. Pour about an inch and a half of water into the large bowl.
  6. Pour the whipped paper (the paste) into the jug with liquid measures.
  7. Place the wire mesh or mosquito netting in the bottom of the large bowl.
  8. Pour one cup of batter over the screen.
  9. Spread the paste evenly into the water with your fingers. It is very soft to the touch.
  10. Lift the screen and let the water drain.
  11. Open the newspaper section in half.
  12. Put the mesh with the paste on the newspaper.
  13. Close the newspaper.
  14. Carefully turn the newspaper over so that the mesh is on top of the pasta.
  15. Put the wooden board on top of the newspaper and squeeze to remove excess water.
  16. Open the newspaper and remove the mesh.
  17. Leave the newspaper open to dry the paste for at least 24 hours.
  18. The next day, check to see if the paste is dry.
  19. If it is, carefully separate it from the newspaper.
  20. You can now use the paper for writing!
