Virtual Visit: Barakah Nuclear Power Plant (United Arab Emirates)

It is located in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, and has three PWR reactors in operation and another under construction. It is the country's first nuclear power plant.

Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation, owner of the plant, has developed, using the latest virtual reality technology, a tour of the plant in which you can visit the reactor building, the turbine room and the main control room. It also offers Virtual Reality experiences of a fission chain reaction, fuel element fabrication, the electricity generation process and much more.

How to do the visit

If you wish to take the virtual tour, it is necessary to download an application on a device, e.g. a mobile phone, which can be accessed from the website of ENEC.
