What is radon?

With the symbol Rn, it is a radioactive chemical element with atomic number 86, belonging to the noble gases group, with a half-life of four days. It is present in the air in very small quantities, is colourless, very heavy and radiotoxic, and is used in radiotherapy and as an indication of the existence of uranium and the imminence of seismic activity.
