Don't miss out:
Vera studied at the Faculty of Physics of Moscow State University and in 1951, after graduating, she started working at the Department of Electronic Optics of the Faculty of Physics of Moscow University.
In 1958, he completed his PhD on ‘Processes under sputtering of metallic mono- and polycrystals’. However, she did not become a Doctor of Science until 1975 when she completed her work on ‘Emission of atomic particles under ion bombardment of single crystals’.
She made major contributions to the study of the interaction processes between ion beams and solid surfaces, both in their experimental characteristics and their physical mechanisms.
