{"id":25856,"date":"2023-06-28T14:29:38","date_gmt":"2023-06-28T12:29:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rinconeducativo.org\/recursos-educativos\/como-funciona-un-condensador-en-una-central-nuclear\/"},"modified":"2024-01-25T13:36:09","modified_gmt":"2024-01-25T12:36:09","slug":"how-does-a-capacitor-work-in-a-nuclear-power-plant","status":"publish","type":"re_recurso","link":"https:\/\/rinconeducativo.org\/en\/recursos-educativos\/how-does-a-capacitor-work-in-a-nuclear-power-plant\/","title":{"rendered":"How does a capacitor work in a nuclear power plant?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A nuclear power plant is a thermal power plant in which a fissile fuel is used to generate electricity with a water-steam cycle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Depending on the type of technology, the reactor produces the water vapour in the reactor in one way or another, however, the turbine-alternator-transformer and condenser part is common to all models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is it?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It is a heat exchanger formed by a set of tubes through which the cooling water circulates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The water vapour entering the condenser from the turbine is liquefied to a liquid phase, thus improving turbine performance as the conversion produces a vacuum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is its function?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As the name suggests, condensing the steam coming from the turbine for its return to the water\/steam cycle.
