Save energy cooking<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The kitchen<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are two different types of stoves depending on the type of energy they consume: gas and electric.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Within the electric there are the following types:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Conventional<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Glass ceramic<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Induction<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Induction cookers are those that use magnetic waves to heat food, they are much more efficient and faster than other electric cookers.<\/p>\n\n\n

    But generally, gas stoves are much more efficient than electric ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Microwave<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    More than 50% <\/strong>of homes use microwaves. Not only is it faster than the traditional oven, but its use saves<\/strong> between 60 and 70%<\/strong> of the energy consumed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The oven<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The oven is one of the appliances that consumes the most electricity<\/strong> in the home and, therefore, its use must be controlled. There are two kinds: gas and electric, although in homes the most used is electric.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Practical tips to save energy cooking<\/h3>\n\n\n

    • For electric type kitchens, \"cookware\" should be used and the rest of the utensils with a thick diffuser bottom, since this way we will achieve a more homogeneous temperature throughout the container.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Whenever we can, it is better to use super-fast pressure cookers, they have almost no steam loss, consume less energy and also save us a lot of time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • It is advisable to cover the pots during cooking, with this simple gesture we will save energy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Turn off the electric cooker 5 minutes before finishing cooking, in this way the residual heat is used and energy is saved (in induction cookers it is not possible).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • We have to make the most of the capacity of our oven, and if possible cook several foods at the same time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • The oven should not be opened unnecessarily, because doing so loses around 20% of energy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Turn off the oven a few minutes before finishing cooking, in this way the residual heat is used and we save energy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Never preheat the oven for more than 1 hour, it is not necessary that much time and we also waste energy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
