In 1925, he became the first graduate student of the new professor <a href=\"https:\/\/rinconeducativo.org\/en\/recursos-educativos\/hans-geiger-inventor-radioactive-particle-counter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hans Geiger<\/a>, with whom he conducted research on ionization and its repercussions in gases and with whom, in 1928, he invented the Geiger-M\u00fcller tube, the basis of the counter.
