Aspects to take into account

To form the Environmental Committee with representatives from the whole school community, for which voting will take place in each classroom, from which representatives will come from among the pupils and volunteers from among the teaching staff. This committee will be responsible for specific aspects of the organization and the resolutions of the respective competitions and groups to be carried out throughout the project.

To form a Green Group, among the volunteer students, which will be in charge of collecting information, deficiencies, problems, and data of interest that will contribute to the correct and daily maintenance of the facilities during playground hours. A group of 4 students will carry out this analysis on a rotating and voluntary basis. It will be recorded in a book of incidents from which each tutor will collect those that correspond to him/her, to solve them as soon as possible. In this way, as well as auditing to seek solutions, they will also be resolved gradually throughout the process.

The Green Group can be identified with a green cap and be authorized to visit any part of the school at the indicated times.

Form a 4R Group to be responsible daily for collecting the waste generated at playground time, weighing it, and disposing of it in its corresponding container. To this end, weekly rotating groups will be organized and they will be provided with gloves, weights, masks, and anything else deemed necessary to carry out their duties.

Create a Green Point, in a large space near the classrooms, where they are installed:

  • An environmental and organizational suggestion box for students who wish to make use of it.
  • A cupboard with all the school's books, booklets, magazines, and environmental information, for which a selection of the contents of both the school library and the various classrooms should be made beforehand.
  • A table on which to place, throughout the process, all the experiments, work, and utensils related to the theme that they were building, such as the water purifier, water pump, windmill, solar energy, etc.
  • A cupboard in which to place the necessary instruments, when the time came, for the collection and weighing of the different types of waste.
  • The environmental notice board where information about the project, the list of environmental books, the rotating shifts of the Green Group, the 4R, the anonymous suggestions from the mailbox, the pupils' work, and the provisional results of the audit would be posted.

  • Ensure that there are selective waste bins, recycling storage boxes, and recycling bins in all classrooms and offices in the school.
  • Organize the rotating teams of the Groups among the volunteers.
