Operation of a Gas Turbine

How does a gas turbine work? First of all, the air enters through the intake of the turbine. The compressor then increases the pressure of the air before it enters the combustion chamber. This compressed air mixes with the fuel and ignites creating a hot, expanding gas. Ultimately, this expanding gas drives the power turbine and generates mechanical energy.
